I first became interested in hypnosis when a friend in his 70s, a longtime smoker, stopped smoking. He achieved this through hypnosis. This rekindled my underlying interest in the power of the mind. When my work circumstances changed I took the opportunity to start my hypnotherapy training.
It is a great experience to help to find a solution to something which may have been a problem to someone for many years. There are many changes people want to make in their lives. They may have a phobia that limits their lives; they may have low self confidence and feel they don't get the most out of their lives; they may be in pain; they may want to control their weight or stop smoking.
Many people are put off by the popular misconceptions of hypnosis, but are keen to use it once they find out more. The opportunity to help people is incredibly rewarding and people are amazed at the results.
I use the methods that are most appropriate to the client, combining hypnosis with NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Chinosis if appropriate, or sometimes using only one of these techniques. Some clients may feel more comfortable with one method than with another.
I have a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and am a member of the Hypnotherapy Society and General Hypnotherapy Register. All members adhere to the Code of Conduct that governs our working practices. I am fully insured. The most important consideration is the welfare and satisfaction of the client. I am an NLP Practitioner, an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner and a Chinosis Coach. I also use EMDR.
